A note from Little Zebra Books director, David Ker
Last week, I had the very great joy of being able to give books to two very special people who are reaching out to children in their community.
The first person was Minah Koela who leads Beautiful Gate, a ministry impacting almost 2000 vulnerable children in South Africa. Beautiful Gate is putting together “bags of hope” which contain food, hygiene supplies and reading materials for children who are out of school because of the coronavirus. How incredible that you and I get to be a part of this vital ministry as all these children will be receiving copies of our books in isiXhosa.
The second person was Nick Balabala, who is running a community learning center for children in Khayelitsha, a poor area in Cape Town. Nick volunteers his time to help children with math and reading. Now those children will be enjoying beautiful books in their own language.
I am humbled by these people who are ministering to children in their own community. Thanks to your partnership, Little Zebra Books gets to play a small part in what God is doing in Africa.
Would you take a moment right now to thank God for what he is doing through our ministry. Pray for the many people on the front lines who are dealing with a changed reality and trying to find safe ways to continue to minister to children.
